Well, my co-worker's 1997 BMW M3 engine totally gone again. This is the third times within 1 year. The first time he over-rev the engine and blow it (the engine was modified). Then the blow engine was rebuilt by a BMW specalty tuner in Ohio. 3 months later, the metal timing chain sprockets got explose somehow and destroyed the engine entirely. So he decided to replace the engine with the all new engine - the all new 2001 3.2L M3 engine along with a brand new differential which cost him more than $10,000. In less than 2 months, the all new 3.2L engine gone again due to "0" oil pressure. So how good is the BMW engine.
